Developing a marketing plan for the year isn’t an easy task. I always suggest doing a quarterly plan versus an annual plan. I feel it is less intimidating, and approaching quarterly, you can review what worked last quarter and add that to your next quarter’s action plan. Below is a breakdown of quarterly dates.
- Quarter 1: January, February, and March (ends on March 31st)
- Quarter 2: April, May, and June (ends on June 30th)
- Quarter 3: July, August, and September (ends on September 30th)
- Quarter 4: October, November, and December (ends on December 31st)
Q1 marketing plan is essential to start the year off right. You should review your last quarter plan from 2023 and the analytics. Take that data and plan out your first quarter for 2024! It is still early in the month to get going on your Q1 plan. So how do you start? I will go over a few steps to get you started.
- Review your business summary.
- Review and update your SWOT Analysis.
- What are your business initiatives for Q1?
- Review your target market for each initiative and who you will compete with.
Now, we dive into the marketing strategy for Q1.
